Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu : Part 1

Hey my lovelies,

Hope y’all are doing great. Let me tell you something very special today. This is about my city,my hometown,my origin, Kolkata. They say Kolkata is city of joy and that joy often comes from our culture, our heritage, foods,Durga pujo, friends etc. etc. And, once you lived in that place, you can not get over it. This place is like an ole flame ,you can take someone out of it but not the other way around.

So,just to let my friends outside Bengal know Durga Pujo is one of the greatest festivals in the World and grandest festival for North Indian people. Apart from all the craze, festivity ,it is the best way to showcase your style. Am I right guys (All my Bengali friends would understand that I know) ? Fashion in Durga Pujo is all about ethnic wears and few experimental Indo western designs. I am going to share few looks for this coming festivals of 5 days in my next series of posts. Indulge into this rhythm of the cultural heritage of Bengal with a bit of style. 🙂

This post is going to feature this black chanderi salwar with golden prints on it. I accessorized the look by this black golden combo ear piece and golden bangles. As, one needs to be more comfortable and relaxed for pandal hopping,I choose golden sequin ballerinas for this look. You can opt for golden sandals or heels as well.I bought this piece from New Market area,Kolkata (The people living in the city need no introduction for this place) which is is located in the heart of the city and is one of the shopping hubs in Kolkata. I got it stitched it from my local tailor. Coming to the makeup look, I created this subtle black smokey eyes with nude pink lips.As you know, smokey eyes can never goes out of style and it’s my favorite.
