Devi ~ KanyaRupena Samsthitaa

Hello to all the lovely souls out there!

Hope you’re doing wonderful, life’s been keeping you happy, healthy and content. It’s been a year since I spoke to you. Blame it on my super hectic work schedule, never ending tantrums of my infant turned toddler and all that jazz. But, you know what, there have been a lot going on than I just mentioned. And, the year went by in the blink of an eye.

It’s that time of the year we all wait for. The time of the festivities and celebrations, Ma Dugga’s arrival. And, this time the waiting is bit different. We are really waiting for the justice to be served. We really hope Devi Ma brings justice to her daughter. It’s been 42 days. Not sure , how long we have to wait further. People who know me well know how meticulous I had always been for this look-book. There was lots of back and forth about this post this year. But then I decided to keep the tradition. Yes, for me it’s the beginning of the auspicious season and that’s how I have been starting the festive season for past 8 years. This time it’s a bit different. I couldn’t get my head around the fact that each year we celebrate Devi Ma, her divine power and then on the other hand , there’s lack of respect for women in every aspect of life. The overall crimes against women keep on increasing. It’s important at this point to understand that the divine feminine is not just a mythology or an ideology but should also translate to respect and equality for women in everyday life.

May her divine energy inspire us to work towards a better World where justice prevails and all the victims receive the closure they deserve. Let’s continue to send positive vibes even in the darkest times and support those who are fighting for justice, equality, dignity and respect. Wish you all happy Durga Pujo. Love & Light

Hope you guys really like this post. Do let me know about your pujo experience and plans in the comment section below and until we meet again, be beautiful, be confident, be YOU. Wishing you all a very vibrant, happy and peaceful pujo (Subha Sharodia).

XOXO
