“Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu, Shanti Rupena Samsthitaa I
Namastastyai II Namastastyai II Namastastyai namo namaha“
Amidst all the hullabaloos in life , that favorite time of the year is finally here. There are few days left until SHE sets off to her motherland for her yearly visit. Devi Durga’s homecoming ~ Bengalis’ fondest of feelings encapsulated in the biggest festival. Nothing has been same like before though. Restrictions are being tightened and celebrations, shortened. We can not visit our friends and family very often whenever we want. But, again this is the only time of the year when Devi Durga ( as we portray her as the daughter of Bengal ) along with her children visits us. So, let us not diminish the festive ardor. As the essence of festival lies in three important ingredients : love, hope & faith. And, we strongly believe Devi Durga brings those in abundance for all of us. Let the magnificent aroma of jasmine seep into the air and hearts, let us gaze a little more at the beautiful autumn sky, let us captive the essence of jubilance in mind more than ever to accommodate the hope & tranquility it brings along. Let those aalta decorated feet wait in anticipation, reserving its best color for him. Let those eyes burst into tears of joy after seeing him in crowd. Let’s fall in LOVE all over again. May peace prevails.
To that Devi Who in All Beings is Abiding in the Form of Peace,
Salutations to Her, Salutations to Her, Salutations to Her, Salutations again and again.
With all your blessings and love, there she goes :

Coming to my outfit : Featuring this hand-loom begampuri khadi cotton saree with vermillion red border. Paired this with red basic blouse. Tried to give this modern yet traditional look and hence the bow pattern in the blouse comes into play. I accessorized this with silver-coral green neck piece, ear ring. And, red -white bangles and red bindi to complete the quintessential bengali look.

Hope you guys like this post. Do let me know about your pujo experience and plans in the comment section below and until we meet again, be beautiful be confident,be YOU. Wishing you all “Subho Sharodiya” (Happy Durga Puja)
