Hello my pretty souls,
Hope you’re keeping healthy and fine. Last year around this time, we restrained ourselves from every kind of celebrations, thinking, we would get over this covid era and start to celebrate soon. And, this is what called life. When we plan something, life keeps doing something else for us. We are struggling and still fighting against this virus. In various parts of the World it again started to bounce back. But, what covid can not do, is to suppress the positivity and hope. The arrival of Bengali New Year is to inform people bad times are not here to last. We have come so far and there are bright days ahead of us.
Now, coming to today’s topic. Jamdani Saree has been my absolute favorite amongst the handloom woven clan in muslin fabric. And, what would be the best time for featuring this beautiful Bengal’s jamdani saree than the auspicious occasion of Noboborsho (Bengali New Year). What I love about this piece most is how the simple motifs are inlaid into the fabric by adding a denser thread to fine warp threads. Few golden bangles, oxidized golden jhumka and sling purse to pair up with this and that’s how easy to get this look.
