Let your heart glow ✨

Hello all the beautiful souls,

Hope you all are doing fine. Spending this festive season with your kith and kin, making the most out of it.

As always, the festivity takes me down the memory lane. Long evenings of fireworks, lines of candles & lamps, endless giggles, good company and scrumptious food. Celebration used to begin by cleaning and decorating the house. I used to put floral garland in the doorway and line up candles in every corner of my house with dadabhai (maternal grandfather). My brothers would get a task to soak the firecrackers in the sunlight and then safely wrap those before sunset. Then, later in the evening, we light up the candles. The most exciting part of the evening came right after that. We would go to rooftop to set off the firecrackers. The night sky was aglow with fireworks and lighted lanterns. The entire house would look like a dream with all these fairy lights, candles and lamps. After that, we would go to attend some Diwali invitations. We, Bengalese, generally celebrate Kali Pujo ( Celebration of Goddess Kali ) this day. Usually, Kalipujo & Diwali both of these festivals are celebrated on the same day or a day after the other. We would visit some of the pujo pandals with friends. The majestic sound of dhak & aromatic bhog-prasad ( food prepared for pujo ) used to literally make the ambience. And, sitting miles apart from my home, the festivals of light brings back so many memories and I can not tell you more how much I miss home & dadabhai.

Now, back to reality. As you all know, the last many months have been unprecedented in different ways – for each one of us.We all have been managing through unique struggles and situations at home and work.As we approach the festive season, I really wish this auspicious time brings good health, prosperity, love & light in your life.

Sharing this simple yet classy look-book which is very simple and easy to carry. This pretty peachy floral salwar suit goes very well in any occasion. Paired it with cute little pair of jhumkas and pendent.

Wish each one of you a very very happy and safe Diwali. Love & light.

XOXO

Yours Aparajita
